There are many days when God speaks to me with clear directives.
However, in many of those instances, I often question the validity of His word (yes, I know I shouldn’t). The biggest stumbling block: doubt.
How would I know if what God is telling me to do would work out for the better? Until I actually take that step in obedience, I will *never* know the outcome that God has in store.
A week ago, God gave me a directive, and along with it, He told me to trust His word and its outcome. For a while, I battled and struggled with what that outcome would be. As a designer and an artist, God has often inspired what I create, but sometimes He gives me clear directives on exactly what I should make and how I should make it.
Those moments are almost always riddled with doubt, low self-esteem, and the dreaded imposter syndrome. Those are the moments when I no longer depend on my own creative liberty, but rather God’s explicit instruction.
Yet, every time I choose to obey God, I have always seen the outcome work out in His favor (and lowkey mine). And today, once again, God has proven Himself right. I can’t help but think about how God has never failed me.
Signed,
