God’s Word for Us:
A while back, I was searching for some Biblical content to put together for myself. I was looking particularly for words spoken directly from God. However, somehow I landed on Song of Solomon, where this specific word was spoken directly to me through the Holy Spirit.
As God’s daughter, I sometimes forget that God is my Creator and created me with intent and purpose.
In Psalm 139, the Scripture reminds us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Doubt has crept in many times, especially disguised as low self-esteem. For a while, I believed that I wasn’t attractive, desirable, or wanted. The feeling of rejection weighed heavily, especially as a single woman wanting to find a God-fearing husband.
Many times, I wondered, “Am I pretty enough?” or “Is something wrong with my personality?” Then, I began comparing myself to the other girl: “What is it that she has that I don’t have?”
It was in that moment that I found this Scripture, spoken directly to my heart by God Himself:
”You are altogether beautiful, my love. There is no flaw in you.”
