This season is NOT permanent!!
🦋🦋 Word for Today 🦋🦋
It’s easy to trap ourselves in the ‘this is it’ mindset. We get stuck in a place we don’t desire to be, and we think to ourselves, “This is it.”
Many times, we confuse contentment with complacency. This mistake often leads believers to think that where they are is where God wants them to be for the rest of their lives, disguising their “this is it” mentality with contentment.
True contentment defines our state as being ’joyful’ even as we go through our trials or we are in our wilderness period. Contentment comes with knowing that God will provide for us and protect us. But even in our contentment, we should never be complacent.
What does this mean? 🤔
God desires for his children to grow closer to Him, to prosper in our spiritual walk, and expand in our God-given destiny. Often, He requires faithfulness, patience, and obedience to the Holy Spirit through prayer, worship, and studying the Word.
While we’re in a period that causes us to feel stuck, we should ask ourselves, “How can I use this opportunity to grow closer to Christ and learn from the Holy Spirit?” These moments of patience are designed to help us hear Him better.
Our wilderness period may take us to a place where there is nothing—no distractions or worldly desires—to learn to be content with Christ, committed to God, and communicate with the Spirit. It’s a season for growth, but also a season to develop our destiny in God.
Make no mistake about it: God is calling YOU to a higher place in Him. This is NOT the final destination. Your journey is only just beginning.
Signed,
