“God, what is your plan for me?”
In every season that I can think of, this question is always at the forefront of my mind.
Because, truth be told, it’s hard to decipher God’s plan when you have nothing to go on but faith and the one cryptic word He said to you when you weren’t fully paying attention.
So, I ask, almost every day, relentlessly, “What is your plan?”
Sometimes I *think* I know. Other times, I’m not so sure. The only thing I can do is to trust the process, but then again, what is the process?
Sometimes trusting God and surrendering feels like living up everything we’ve worked for. Sometimes it looks like losing friends, changing environments, disrupting systems, and tearing down old habits.
The familiar somehow, suddenly, becomes unfamiliar. And change? It’s hard.
But I know that His plan is far greater (and far better) than anything I can imagine. Yes, it’s hard to trust it, but trust doesn’t require the feeling of joy and hope. Sometimes trusting in God can look like crying every night, unsure of the next move, but somehow allowing God to take the lead.
You don’t understand it, at least not in the moment, but even through the tears and sorrow and pain, you’re determined to see it through. God’s plan is great, and great plans take time.
Signed,
