The oldest church ever built is in Africa. 

In fact, Christianity was in Ethiopia by the 2nd century, several hundred years before it even reached the borders of what’s now known as modern Europe. Ethiopia is where the oldest relics of Christianity can be found; they even claim to have the real ark of the covenant. 

Based on Genesis 2 (and scientific findings), humanity was born in East Africa, and much of the Scriptures were written on the African and Near Eastern continents (actually, the Ancient Near East was considered part of Africa for a long time). 

So, what’s our real story? You’ll have to dive into Unapologetically BLACK to find out.

So, What is Unapologetically BLACK All About?

Unapologetically BLACK explores Black culture through empowerment and faith. I want to share our history, celebrate our accomplishments, and shift the narrative from negative to positive with each post I write. 

However … I don’t want to force Christianity into the Black story. I want to show how God shaped the Black story, elevated Black identity through both the good and the bad of our past. 

We are the lessons that we learn, and each part of our history is the puzzle that begins to reveal who we truly are.

Rooted in Christ explores cultural identity, personal growth, and how we ground it in Christ. I want to motivate you to embrace your heritage without neglecting Christian principles. 

We live boldly as who God made us to be while proclaiming who HE is. 

The Melanated Woman

The Melanated Woman is a leader, but she deserves a soft life. Here, I provide strategies for the Black woman to live in her calling and to step into her God-given identity as the EMPRESS she is. 

I don’t highlight ‘independence’ and ‘strength’ as catch-alls for the Black woman, but rather, I reframe that narrative as a woman of grace and favor, the daughter of a KING. 

Be empowered to thrive in your spiritual, professional, and personal life, all while living out your princess era (after all, your Father is the King of Kings). 

Crowns Connect

The Bible offers the tools we need to navigate societal and systemic challenges, both within the Black community and beyond it. At Crowns Connect, I discuss the challenges we face and equip you with the knowledge to overcome said challenges through principled living, courage, and Holy Spirit guidance. 

The Diaspora

The Diaspora is all about ancient civilizations, the rise of Africa, discoveries, cultural heritage, and Black art in ways that bring us together. 

By learning the truth of our past, we can make room for our tomorrow, celebrating our achievements and laying the groundwork for our future. Gain a deeper understanding of Black unity, where we come from, and where we’re going, all true, fact-checked, and faith-driven.
