When Solomon inherited the throne, he could’ve asked anything he wanted, yet, he chose to ask for wisdom. For that, God gave him more than he’d asked for.
A prayer for wisdom is one of the most important prayers you can pray. In fact, Proverbs is dedicated to teaching us how to seek wisdom and cherish it. Today, we will pray together for wisdom and humility.
Let’s Pray
Dear Lord,
Teach me to listen to and seek good advice; to seek you for wisdom and insight when decisions are difficult to make. Show me how to act with others, how to make the most of opportunities granted to me.
Allow my conversations to be fruitful and filled with grace, knowing when to give an answer, and when to remain silent. Teach me to be humble, accepting constructive criticism and discipline so that I can grow in grace and understanding.
